Buddy Emmer grew up in Dallas, Texas watching Jimmy and Stevie Vaughan in local bars throughout the city. Influenced originally by Jimmy's playing, he picked up a guitar at age fourteen.
Years later he was playing in those same blues clubs that he had seen Jimmy and Stevie Ray Vaughan, as well as Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. Eventually, Buddy did an album with Christian Plicque, the lead singer of Stevie's Austin, Texas band, "Blackbird".
Through the years, Buddy has tried to carry on Stevie Ray's tradition of rockin' Texas Blues that is so close to his roots and heart.
