Geechy Guy, “The New King of the One-Liners” and Guinness World Record- holding comedian, will be embarking on an expansive tour of the Midwest this year. With an extended summer stop at the Tommy Bartlett show in the world- famous Wisconsin Dells. He is fresh off the heels of his award-winning one-man show, “The Geechy Guy Happy Hour”, Which enjoyed a 3 year run at several casinos throughout Nevada (Harvey's, Harrah's, Circus Circus and Golden Nugget).
Guy, a Rochester, Michigan native, began his career in the Midwest over two decades ago. He went on to make over 75 national television appearances including three on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He also beat Ray Romano (among others), to become the all-time Star Search comedy champ with 10 appearances.
He then traveled for six years with the legendary Righteous Brothers as their opening act on several national tours and in Las Vegas. Local fans can hear him as a regular and favorite on the nationally syndicated “Bob and Tom Show”. Known for his quick wit and off-the-wall observations, Guy was labeled “Brilliantly offbeat”, and “The new King of the One-Liners” by Las Vegas’ largest daily newspaper.
Classic Geechy Guy: “My mom started a new support group called D.A.M.- Mothers Against Dyslexia.” “I took a correspondence course in mime, they sent me 6 blank tapes.” “They say that a person’s car reflects his personality. I don’t have a car.” “I saw a sign that said ‘don’t even think about parking here’, so I parked there without even thinking about it.” “My buddy hates liver. So much so that he became an alcoholic.”
Plans are now under way for a follow-up to his best-selling comedy CD, releasing a joke book and taping portions of this tour for a future television special. |
